Every customer is different and since it’s the cleaner’s first visit to your home, it’s good to provide some guidance. Ideally, write down a list of cleaning priorities for your cleaner (focusing on a specific room, for example). It will help them to tailor their work to you. When the cleaner arrives, show them around your home, highlighting your priorities or fragile areas. Make sure to also show the cleaner where to find the cleaning products to use – if you have any preferences or surfaces that need special care, discuss these quickly with your assigned cleaner.
We strongly recommend that you are home at least for the first booking. Some customers choose to give a spare key to their cleaner, but please remember that Helpling takes no part in the key-handling process.

We do our best to find the right cleaner for you. However, if you did not like your cleaner, you can easily replace them in your account and send out a new request for another cleaner. We ask for the reason for the cleaner replacement so we can then find the perfect match!
Yes, in the unlikely event of damage, you do not have to worry as you are protected from any serious harm. All cleaners are covered by a liability insurance which covers all damages up to €5,000,000 with a deductible of €500. For damages below €500 or the first €500 of any larger damage, you can decide to directly reach out to the cleaner involved and align with him or her on the compensation that you may expect from them. You can find the cleaner’s contact details in the confirmation email that you received prior to the cleaning.
